Artist Statement

Hello, my name is Amanda Lewis, and I am a freshman at Blue Valley West. I decided to take photography because I have loved taking pictures since I was young. I would always take my mom's phone and take random photos; she would go on her phone, and her storage would be full. I've always been creative and love coming up with new ideas. Photography has opened my eyes to see a new light in the world. Throughout the semester, I have been to many new places and seen the world in a new light. It's not where I live, but it's where plants and animals live too. I hope to take photography two to keep my creativity flowing.
